  1. History of the KPOHON Palace of KPENGLA: Cana was the holy city of Danxomè. The kings came there every year to take a bath of purification ritual in the river Hlan. For their accommodation during these periodic stays, so they had built seven private palaces in the locality. Become king, KPENGLA (1774-1789) demolishes his house of Cana and builds on the palace KPOHON. The children of the monarch TEGBESSOU (1742-1774) who took revenge against the accession to the throne of their uncle KPENGLA set fire to this palace. 

  2. Founded by King GUEZO in 1820, the palace of GBANGNANME is the one in which the rest of the ten kings of Danxomè were buried.
